Damn you, CBS

CSI: Miami is ridiculous
Ok, so, CBS is a douche, and I guess it's just my local station. My mom said it was acting up last night and caused her to miss Cold Case and The Unit because she couldn't hear what was going on and the picture kept messing up. Well, tonight I sat down with her to watch the repeat of CSI:Miami, and while we could hear the background music and sounds - we couldn't hear the dialogue. Their mouths were moving, but we couldn't hear what they were saying.

I really hope it doesn't do this Wednesday night and force me to watch another episode of CSI:NY online.

Gremlins, methinks.
Yeah, that's happened a couple of times to me. The center channel with the dialogue has gone out, and the closed captions have screwed up big time. It's usually on a Tuesday night when NCIS comes on, or Wednesday with Criminal Minds. Sux 'cause I have a Dial-suck connection and it's hard to watch eps online..

Re: Gremlins, methinks.
It screwed up tonight, too - the picture just randomly disappeared on the TVs that don't have cable boxes (yes, I know, that's probably a Big No-No, but fuck it all, we're paying out the ass for cable). She watched most of NCIS on the TV in the living room with my dad (which has a cable box, obviously), and it came back about halfway through, so we were able to watch The Mentalist (and I guess she got to see all of Without a Trace) - I really hope it doesn't fuck up tomorrow night or that it at least fixes before 9:00.

I don't know why it's only CBS that screws up. The other major channels were working just fine.

Once, my mom changed the channel and then went back to CBS a little later, and for some reason BBC America was on there instead of NCIS - but it flipped back to the black screen with NCIS dialogue after a few minutes. It was weird.

Definitely gremlins.
