I mentioned possibly joining the TV Guide website (which I generally despise--God, it's so fucking slow!) to post a Jeer, so I thought I'd share it since I did.

I did a screencap of it when it first posted:

The fact that it's so blatantly obvious is what bugs me the most. We can debate intent and CANON and how it all makes Danny/Lindsay/Rikki/the Loch Ness Monster look all day long, but in the end, it's just a shitty editing job.

You want canon? Here's canon: It's CANON that they got so far as to film these two scenes in this order but for some reason decided to switch them afterwards (and don't give me some bullshit about confusion or some other excuse that makes it seem like TPTB are morons--they aren't)--and when they made the decision to switch them, they used a crappy black blob to cover up the evidence and it all made Danny look off in the process.

Yeah, that's CANON. Canon is what appears on screen, after all, and if it didn't stand out, we never would have caught it.

Now I'm off to eat something and watch the Sarah Jane Adventures at 8:00.

(By the way, I clicked into the Scrapbook part of my LJ to see how it worked and kept getting told that I had to log in--I was logged in, and even when I logged in again, it gave me the same message. WTF?)

Well, okay, maybe it's tame compared to other fandoms, but it's the only fandom I'm in and, as such, any wank is a lot of wank.

I commented on the whole fandomsecrets debacle back when it was going on. I don't really want to get into it now since it seems to have been proven to have nothing to do with 'evil DL h8ers' such as myself (thank God--that's what was annoying the hell out of me), but I will say that I'm not surprised at the amount of backstabbing that can occur when people live (in the fandom sense) in varying states of secrecy anyway. I imagine that the whole thing is being chalked up to more lies amongst certain fandom circles, but it's not my place to judge. Suffice it to say, I'm glad it's obvious that we (meaning the D/F fans) have been cleared of suspected involvement, more or less. The he said, she said stuff in the D/L segment of the fandom, however, is not something I care to be involved in. Have at it, fanthings, I'm sure the sane ones have hitched a ride on the first train out of Crazytown.

Anyway, moving on.

csiny_sl posted about the whole switched scene fiasco from 4.19 (really, PTB, you did a shoddy job and made Danny look inconsistent in the process--well done *rolls eyes*). I just clicked over there to read the comments, and I saw that she'd edited to mention the Cheers and Jeers section of the TV Guide site. I'd seen 1perfectanomaly's LJ post about some genius from the CBS message board who pointed out how we, the 'haters', so obviously only liked the Danny/Rikki stuff because we don't like Lindsay (yes, because all of our motivations are as shallow as yours, fanpoodle *rolls eyes*) and that PA is "a vocal hater whose diatribes are well known to CBS." This, of course, made me laugh because they are clearly assuming that TPTB read the CBS message board religiously. I'm sure the writers have better things to do than spend all their time reading a badly-organized, unmoderated board full of mindless shit posted in giant, pink text.

But I digress...

Anyway, Kimmy pointed out that people had linked to her thread on TalkCSI about the switched scenes in Jeers on the board. Now, I don't know who posted them (I may know one of the posters, but I'm not sure), but I confess--I'm amused.

HUGE JEERS to TPTB and CSI:NY for turning Danny Messer back into the lapdog he was from season three. You wasted a whole season just to force Danny back into the same lousy spot he was in during season three!

Someone even proved you had switched the DannyLindsay and DannyRikki scenes for the sake of dragging on the shipwreck that is DL!

http://talk.csifiles.com/showthread.php?t=56471

Shame on you, TPTB. Shame on you.

Many, many, many jeers to CSI:NY for sacrificing the quality of writing and catering to the shallow fantasies of a small group of viewers who don't care at all for the show itself. Congratulations! You've sunk to a new low.

This post at the TalkCSI forum showed you fully intended to show Danny calling Lindsay after Rikki sees him to tell him she's moving away and say goodbye. What gives?!

Did you think Danny/Lindsay shippers weren't capable of handling a plot of Danny making Lindsay his second choice after Rikki? Were you worried about a fresh new wave of vitriol and fangirl outrage from them, all because of that? You don't have much of an opinon of them then or the rest of the viewers of the show.

Congratulations for also making Danny the ultimate idiot of the show. You destroyed what was once the most interesting character of the cast into a boring, two-dimensional, irrational, predictable one. It's an insult to Danny's character and Mr. Giovinazzo's talents. He deserves much better than to be rendered a mere prop to a character who can't even stand on her own after three seasons. Pathetic!

You've already made Danny a fool. You put Danny and Lindsay into a relationship after what Lindsay told Mac only a few episodes earlier, that she was 'stupid to ever get involved with a co-worker', you're going to make her a fool as well! Permanently!

Many jeers to CSI:NY for turning into a pitiful trainwreck just to push a fake and very painful 'romance'! I am so disappointed in you.

I have watched CSI:New York since season one. My interest is mainly in the cases and individual character development.

From season two onward, the show deteriorated for me. It lost its dark, gritty, UNIQUE atmosphere that set it apart from the other two CSI series. I was sorry to see Aiden leave but I had high hopes for Lindsay who replaced her. By season three, I had given up those hopes. I liked her best when she was the tough, lively country girl. Now she is merely a very weak character who needs to constantly remind us where she comes from and is nothing more than someone who is supposedly in love with Danny.

I was neutral in the beginning to the romance the writers were insistent on writing for them. Now it has become a damaging burden to Danny and Lindsay AND the show itself. It is a terrible thing when the people behind the show feel they must abandon logical, good storytelling to retain a fraction of viewers. The TalkCSI post linked in a few jeers before mine was what motivated me to write mine.

I have always supported CSI: New York even when people told me it was 'crap'. I believed it had great potential, a wonderful team of actors and writers. But now I am not so sure any more. The switch of those scenes was very cowardly. I must agree that the situation would have made so much more sense if the scene of Danny and Rikki showed first but you changed it. At the last moment! Cowardly.

Sorry, CSI: New York, but you are getting a jeer from me this time.

Omigod, I can't believe the scenes in csi:ny 419 were switched!!! Why did they do that?!! Switching it changed the context of the scenes entirely!!! They shouldn't have done that because it makes Danny so strange!!! JEERS TO CSI:NY FOR BEING CHICKEN!!!

I just noticed that Rhonda added one too, but those up there are the ones I saw earlier.

I'm thinking of registering over there to leave a Jeer that says what I want it to say. Hmm...

First thoughts on 4.20 "Taxi", copy-pasted from TalkCSI.

First, the stuff I typed during the episode:

~ Angell makes my panties tingle on a good day, but kicking ass and saving Flack? Oh Angell, have my babies please.

~ That's one action-packed way to start an episode, I gotta say!

~ Haha at Flack's mention of having some girl in the back of his dad's car, by the way. Oh, Flack.

~ Mac, give Flack a break.

~ Aww, poor Flack isn't a happy bunny. *pet pet*

~ Mmm, Danny, you're looking vewwy pwetty!

~ Yay, D/F screencaps--I don't ask for much.

~ Aww, Quinn. *hugs*

~ SHELDON YOU SEXY BASTARD! *tackles and does unspeakably naughty things to him*

~ Oh Flack, ILU BB!

~ Montaaaana! At least that scene went quick.

~ SID!

~ Not killed by the cabbie killer? Or maybe it wasn't actually the killer's cab he got into?...I'm cornfuzed.

~ I didn't see if AJ's name was at the beginning. I'm having Adam withdrawals. If he's not here this week, I'll be sad (even though I know he's in the finale because he was filming for it recently). *sigh* I don't think he's here. He must be at home, eating Ho Hos and playing Second Life.

~ I love Mac and Stella's friendship. ^_^ And of course she'd know just how Reed reacted to Mac's approach--and how Mac approached him in the first place. I love you, Stella.

~ Ew, monkey meat? Tasty.

~ Ooh, Flack referred to Angell as his 'partner'. This makes my panties tingle just a little bit more.

~ Ooh, pissy!Quinn. And she didn't know Mac knew Reed? Interesting--although I'm not sure how she would know, of course. I guess I just assumed it was common knowledge.

~ Reed! (It kinda lessens the impact when we already thought he'd been kidnapped, though, I gotta say. It's kinda like, 'Oh, he's been kidnapped for real this time.' )

~ Must make more noise to get her attention--DO THE WORM TO SAVE A LIFE, REED!!!

~ Aww, poor Reed.

~ MAC IS PISSED OFF NAO!

~ Ooh, good acting on the part of the crazy-ass cabbie killer.

~ CHARON!!!!

~ Ooh, clever Reed. Poor baby, using Claire's name.

~ Yeah, Quinn, now STFU.

~ Maybe if ADAM was there, he could track Reed down. Don't leave Lindsay to do an expert's job, yo. *nod*

~ How can you have that technology and not find her, Mac? BECAUSE YOU F*CKING NEED ADAM, DAMNIT!

~ Good job, Mac! See, you and Reed are on the same wavelength.

~ Mmm, kevlar.

~ OMG REED!

~ "Don't die on me"--*sniff* Reminds me of "Charge of this Post"

~ Aww, Mac with Reed in the ambulance. *hug*

~ Ooh, nice Stella-Jordan scene.

~ Interesting twist with the reason for the killer setting Jimmy up.

~ Mac and Reed. *hugs them both*

~ I would NOT be able to keep track of time in a trunk like that.

~ Good Reed. *pets him*

~ SEE I KNEW I WAS F*CKING RIGHT ABOUT CHARON! GIVE ME A COOKIE, DAMNIT!

~ Aww, Mac and Reed in the taxi. I guess Mac's okie-dokie with taxis now.

~ I wonder what that voice-over was? I was thinking it might be Reed's blog, but I'm not sure--did it show what it was from? (I wasn't paying 100% attention.)

~ Where are Reed's parents?

~ Shitty bluescreen work with the back window of the taxi.

Preview: The finale should be good. *hugs Mac*

Plus more comments from later posts:

Adam's at home, eating Ho Hos when the lab really needs him.

But I guess if Adam was there, it wouldn't take so long to do things and they couldn't drag it out for a whole episode.

The episode was very good overall. You knew they'd catch the guy eventually and (I thought at least) it was pretty obvious they wouldn't kill Reed. But even so, they kept you on your toes, wondering what was going to happen and how the episode was going to end.

Lots of Mac and Stella, which was nice. Seeing their friendship is never disappointing.

Some nice Flack and Angell at the beginning, then they took a back seat later on.

Jordan was used to good effect--I like her well enough, but I'm not thrilled with her job. I think that's my main problem with the character.

Quinn was nice--not bowing at the altar of Mac, but not creating problems the way she could have if the writers had chosen a different path for the plot.

Reed was good--as I said in the new Reed/Kyle thread, his attitude recently was a means to an end, and as we saw at the end of "Taxi", he and Mac ultimately connected. I'm disappointed that we didn't see Mac hand Reed off to his parents (those pesky families, never getting shown onscreen), but I guess he was taking him home.

Not enough Hawkes, but something is better than nothing.

Speaking of nothing, I NEED ADAM! *weep*

I have nothing to say about Lindsay other than that her hair continues to look bad--please, people, do something flattering for the woman.

Danny was pretty but barely there this week--this was definitely an episode to concentrate on Mac and, to a lesser extent, Stella. I don't mind that kind of thing, I just hope that S5 is better about spreading the attention around than this season has been. Danny has gotten some focus this season, Stella has gotten a touch of focus, Mac has gotten some focus (and will surely get some focus in the finale)--but the others deserve something too, especially Hawkes IMO.

Overall, it was a good episode and I'll have to watch it again now that I know how it all fits together. It's nice to see emotional connections (Mac and Reed, Mac and Stella's friendship, etc) without romance drama. See, writers, that provides an 'emotional hook' for the viewers, or whatever Matt Rousch said. USE THAT MORE!

DragonflyDreamer said:

~I want Adam! He'd know where Reed was posting from

I just had the mental image of them calling Adam and him chilling in a recliner wearing boxers and a robe, with a box of Ho Hos on the endtable and some cheesy cartoons on the tv. Then they'd ask him what to do and he'd be like, 'Oh, yeah, just blah blah blah. Later. *click*'

PerfectAnomaly said:

I also liked that the episode was completely focused on solving the case. There was very little in the way of character interaction that didn't involve talking about or working on the case.

Yeah, me too--and at the same time, we still got some good stuff. Mac and Stella, Mac and Quinn, Stella and Jordan, Mac and Reed. This episode was proof that you can have action and drama mixed with science and character interaction without resorting to teh romantz.

The one thing that stuck out like a sore thumb was the scene where Hawkes calls Lindsay "Montana." Danny used to call Lindsay "Montana" all the time. Hawkes never called Lindsay "Montana," yet the nickname "just slipped out?" And Lindsay may have said she misses the nickname, but her voice and face sure didn't reflect that.

I was glad that scene was brief, but yeah--why bother to have her say she misses it if it's just words being spoken but no real emphasis or reaction to it?

goldnhart said:

A little farfetched to me.

Welcome to CSI:NY.

He [AJ] was only contractually obligated for 13 episodes this season, I think, and we've been lucky enough to get him in more than that. I don't think he'll be in every episode next season or end up in the opening credits--but I do hope he gets at least one episode to shine. He had "Snow Day" to an extent last season, and "Down the Rabbit Hole" to an extent this season.

They signed him as a series regular, albeit in a smaller capacity than the others. It really shouldn't be a matter of excluding him in favor of the 'team' when he is, in fact, part of the team now and should be included. Mac used his name last week, saying that nobody worked any other case until the serial killer was caught, but we never actually saw Adam work the cabbie killer case.

That being said, it was nice to see Angell back again, since she's not listed in the finale. She's another character I hope they bring back next season. I assumed she was gone forever after disappearing last season and only appearing as a name but not being there--so to see her this season was a pleasant surprise. I hope they can keep Emmanuelle around.

ETA: I thought about Reed's parents a few minutes ago when trying to figure out his personal timeline (he's 23? When did he learn Claire was his mother and living in NYC? Before or after he started going to college there? If it was before, why did he wait so long to 'find' Claire? Etc)--it was mentioned that he was born in Chicago, so maybe he grew up there and his parents still live there?

Oh, and can I just say how much I love that the cabbie killer was played by a male model? At first I just scoffed, but the guy did a damn good job!

Ok, so I've been thinking about mpreg again lately.

Except now my muse is like, 'Mwuahaha, SHELDON should get pregnant instead of Adam!' Then Adam could be the antsy expectant father, trying to be 'helpful' by bringing home a jar of pickles and a gallon of mint chocolate chip before Sheldon asks him for anything of the sort. And the whole time, Sheldon is like, 'But I can't get pregnant!' and Adam's like, *points at the ultrasound image* and Sheldon's like, 'I'm a doctor, this is impossible!' and Adam's just like, *point point*

So anyway, I'm like, 'Ok, I'll start writing the story and eventually get to the mpreg.'

...I've written stuff, but I'm nowhere near the implausible male pregnancy and nothing has any semblance of order.

But Adam does get to be on top. :D

Anyway, I need to put that aside and concentrate on the "All our friends (mistakenly) think we're doing it" fic I need to write by May 26th.

But Adam is so cute, I can't help myself. And what is it with me and wanting Stella to totally be Sheldon's BFF and demand all the sordid details about his relationship with Adam?

(See page 30)

You know, I'm having the strangest sense of deja vu about that last part. No really, it's almost like I've seen that before on CSI:NY. Lemme think...

Why bother coming up with new finale 'hooks' when you can just re-use the same old ones, right? *rolls eyes* If we're lucky, maybe we'll be proven wrong and the 'emotion' is a Saddy-McSad emotion. But I tend to doubt it, given what Kristin and Ausiello both said about DL fans being 'happy'. I'll bet the writers were like 'they were happy last season, let's just do that all over again but switch Danny and Lindsay around. Nobody will notice the difference!'

_____ pulls away from _____ because he/she is having emotional issues related to trauma. I had four tabs open about Burma for the news last night, and then my internet just went pft and kicked off. I waited for a few hours for it to come back, but it didn't, so I went to bed.

Then I woke up and had to listen to my mother clackity-clack-clacking on the keyboard and slurping her coffee for an hour before I gave up on sleep, but that's a different story.

Yesterday, we went to my mom's favoritist place--the Hibachi Grill. It's pretty good, but she'd have you thinking it was the bestest thing EVAR!

I got a squid ring. At first I was like 'ooh, onion rings!' But then I looked at the sign and it said it was squid rings. So I was like 'HAHA I SHALL DARE!' I had fried calamari before when my sister ordered it at some restaurant or another, so I didn't think twice about it. But it wasn't crispy at all--it was a thick piece of squid, whereas I thought it would be a thin piece surrounded by crispy outer stuff. I think they just took a slice of the mantle and lightly breaded it before they cooked it up (it's a bit more disturbing when you've dissected them before). It didn't have much flavor, but it was pretty rubbery. I only ate a bite of it. My mom was waaay grossed out, but moreso when my dad ate a tiny little octopus (head and all). I was like 'I hope the took the beak out' and then wiggled what was left of my rubbery squid ring in front of my mom's face. I'm such a bitch. :D

In other news, I fucking hate having my period. D:

My subject lines are lame.

Emily was on the computer for close to 11 hours today. Maybe she won't feel the need to be online all day tomorrow and I can write a spoiler report and get the official details and ratings report done. Right now I have another window open, and I've already found a few articles I can work with for extra news (possibly bullets, but more likely individual articles). I'll have to save the links.

Anyway, two things annoyed the hell out of me today:

1) Why can't I just have a headache? I rarely get headaches, and I rarely have them bad enough to actually take anything for them. Usually I just let them run their course. Day before yesterday, I got a pretty bad headache and had to take some Advil to get rid of it. Well, yesterday I got a ghost of the same headache, and this morning/early afternoon I woke up with a ghost of it as well. I said something to my mom about having a headache and she says "You're on the computer too much."

You know what, Mom? Sometimes you just have a headache. It doesn't require someone to give you a reason for having it. I didn't ask 'Hey, why do you think I have a headache?' I simply said I had one, and I woke up with it. God, it's annoying when she acts like I get headaches from being on the computer. Sure, maybe I do sometimes, or the computer makes them worse, but if I got headaches because of the computer, a) I'd have them more often and b) the worst ones would be when I'm online the longest, which isn't actually the case.

Sorry, but that just bugged me. Sometimes orange juice gives me heartburn, sometimes I drink orange juice and don't get heartburn, and sometimes I just get heartburn when orange juice isn't even involved--if I say I have heartburn, don't tell me it's because of the orange juice. [/rant]

Anyway, moving on:

2) I took out the Torchwood DVDs and couldn't get the first DVD to go to the menu on the main DVD player in the living room. It played the little preview for some DC comic thing or another, then went to some claymation thing for the BBC, then just stopped. After a minute, it actually stopped the DVD and sat there like there was no DVD in the player. I put the second disc in and it went to the main menu (after a pause). I went to the portable player in my room and the first disc was acting up a bit, but after a few tries it opened the menu.

I'm not sure if it's my players that are the problem (or at least the one in the living room), or if I actually have a defective disc. Out of the THOUSANDS of sets they make, why must I have the defective one? It's like when I got the third season of NY. First, the fourth disc was screwed the hell up with a weird scratch on it when I opened it, then when they sent the replacement set, that set had two disc 4s and no disc 3. So I took the disc 3 out of the first sent and sent the other set back with two disc 4s.

Now I'm wondering if I should complain about this set. I didn't pay $55 bucks (or whatever I paid) for this DVD set for it to be difficult to watch. *siiiigh*

Ok, now I'm going to save those news links and look for a few more, then I'm gonna head to bed.

Oh! I almost forgot--I watched most of Air Force One on tv tonight. I didn't know Paul Guilfoyle was in that one. *pets him* I was just going to watch it for a half hour or so, then head to my room to putz around, but I ended up watching it to the end. :P

Also: every time I see William H Macy, I always think of that picture of him with the other guys from "In Enemy Hands" with their arses showing. It scarred me for life, seeing his ass. >.<

Copy-pasted from TalkCSI (with a few things deleted):

As with last week, I'm typing as I watch and submitting before reading any other posts in the thread.

~ Oh, boys. ^_^

~ Danny, you really shouldn't laugh that you're with Flack instead of Lindsay. Tsk tsk! Oh, who am I kidding?

~ Presuming that Flack mentions Lindsay because he knew it was originally supposed to be Lindsay at the game with Danny, that tells me that Danny is neglecting poor Donnie-boy. Be nice to Donnie, Mess, he's the one who's always there for you, remember? (And boy, it sure didn't look like Flack was scolding Danny to me. )

~ Sheldon is so pretty.

~ SID!

~ Geez, Lindsay--it's only okay to talk about personal shit at work when YOU want to, eh? Either talk to him or don't, but don't shut him out now that he's trying to talk. MAKE UP YOUR FRICKIN' MIND! (I anticipate mucho activity in the WLMG thread after that scene.)

~ The return of balls-free, lapdog Danny. *sigh* Not appealing, dahling.

~ It's like the writers panicked and went, 'Shit, we need to figure out what to do with D/L...let's just go back to the way things were before.' Heaven forbid a relationship actually EVOLVES on this show.

~ Ooh, Sheldon licking his lips. *tingle-pants*

~ Reed, don't make me smack you upside the head. You just made things waaay difficult for Mac after saying he wouldn't take a cab.

~ Hay Jordan!

~ Ooh, go Mac. *high fives* He was all 'stfu n00b' and she was all *silent*

~ I WANT TO GO ON A FIELD TRIP WITH SHELDON!!!

~ "Sexy, but dangerous." Sheldon, I love it when you're like *psh, bored* And so pretty! *pet pet*

~ Ooh, that's interesting. Connecting it to another murder case out of the city. Didn't expect that!

~ Aww, Mac needs a hug. *hugs him, pats his head*

~ THIS EPISODE NEEDS MOAR BOOBIES! Stella, unleash the girls!

~ Lindsay is boring. She managed to make discovering the real ticket, well, boring.

~ Daaaaamn! Mac told you, Reed!

~ (This may not be in order) Yeah, because fat people always get back at ignorant bastards by killing them. *is not entertained*

~ The rain symbolizes her emo tearz. *snort*

~ I'M FROM MONTANA!

~ Wow, somebody looks/sounds drunk. :|

~ 'Zomg I miss u, come over for seckz.'

~ Danny got drunk and done dropped his balls.

~ Aww, Rikki. Danny's expression when she touched his face is...*wibble* They're so broken.

~ The dark apartment symbolizes his emo woe.

~ Ooh, Mac's angry.

~ He said Adam's name--he does exist!

~ REED, YOU FUCKHEAD!!!

Promo: Ooh, looks gooood!

*****
Nothing highlights how shit-tastic D/L is like seeing Danny and Flack interact, in the beginning of the episode especially. It was fun and entertaining. The D/L crap during the whole episode was...boring and not at all engaging. I'm supposed to care if they get back together when all I'm seeing is that Lindsay is being emo and shutting Danny out now that he's trying to bridge the gap? Oh, but once he drops his balls and crawls back, she'll consider it?

Between Lindsay the drag-ass, returning-to-lapdog Danny and no Adam at all, this episode was not very exciting. *sigh* They should have put some of the fun D/F moments later on to balance the episode out a bit. Even Sid and Sheldon couldn't prevent that.

Secondary thoughts, after reading more comments in here:

~ Yes, the scene with Mac and Stella was really good. Mac doesn't take off his armor for just anyone, and seeing him express his worry that he'd fail was touching. The call from the widow was a poignant touch.

~ I hate that they're making Reed a little douchebag, but I can't help but hope this is him learning a lesson--he's acting like this, and it's going to have consequences. Obviously, based on the end of this episode, those consequences could cost him his life. I'm going to hold out hope (despite being pessimistic about this show overall) that he'll be back next season and we'll see some personal growth.

~ Rikki moving away was the best thing for her--it sucks that it hurt Danny, but he does enough to hurt himself, so what's a woman to do? Considering that she pretty much cut Danny off before he could basically say 'You know, sleeping with you was a mistake', I say good for her.

~ Danny and Flack behind the two-way mirror was funny. "Sexy, but dangerous."

~ When Lindsay's not around, Danny seems to have more vitality. Ah, the healing power of the Flack*.

~ Redsiren, I caught the word 'ripped' in your reply and my first thought was 'ripping Flack's shirt off? Yes plz.'

flackfan_82 said:
Is there only one subway station in all of New York? Can’t find another one that’s open before march of ’09...bizarre

Don't you know? She's like a thrifty shopper on her way to a super-sale--Danny's got free ass with her name on it. One cannot be expected to use sound judgment when free ass is on the line!

flackfan_82:
There are other ways to get back at people like that

Yeah, like ending up hot and skinny and making sure to deny them a piece of tail in front of all their friends. *nod*

PerfectAnomaly said:
Even though Danny and Lindsay drama takes up little screen time it can really ruin an otherwise good episode.

For srs. *sigh* A few good moments from some of the characters can make a dull episode better, and a few drag-ass moments from D/L can make an otherwise-interesting episode, well, drag.

To conclude:

NEEDS MOAR ADAM!

*And by 'the healing power of the Flack', I meant 'the healing power of the COCK!'

My computer hasn't been defragmented in so long that it didn't finish in 12 hours. I had to stop it so I could go about my business. It needs to be defragmented, but I can't let it spend a week doing it (it only got about 28% done in 14 hours, and 17% of that was finished in the first hour and a half--I'm guessing that's the stuff that had been defragmented in the past).

I deleted some stuff and managed to free up a few GB at least (I had downloaded Tin Man, for example, which was about 2.1 GB for all three parts--I ordered the DVD, so there's no reason to have that on the computer; I also had two copies of the Cold Case episode 'Forever Blue' for some reason, and I deleted the downloaded copies of the two Donald Strachey movies since I also have those on DVD). I'm going to upload some family photos into my photobucket just in case something happens (because they can't be replaced since they're only on the computer), and I'm going to burn a few data CDs with stuff in my folder. I was going to go out today and buy a USB stick with a decent amount of space, but 1) I'm not sure I really need it, and 2) my computer is tetchy when it comes to USB devices. So I didn't think it was worth going out and wasting gas to spend money on something that might be a waste of time.

Ultimately, there are very few things on this computer that I couldn't live without. (Well, technically, I could live without the computer altogether, but what kind of life would that be?! *lol*)

Anyway, I need to <s>bug the crap out of cyko_1003</s> figure out what kind of desktop would be the best to get (my mom is whining about Dell because my aunt has a Dell and it's always in the shop--yeah, well maybe it's them and not the computer), what kind of stuff the computer would need to have, etc. Even if this one isn't going to crap out on me, I still need to replace it. I've got to keep a close eye on my bank account, though, if I plan to get my glasses replaced in the near future. Hopefully a good desktop with a printer/scanner/whatever won't run me more than a grand.

Moving on--I typed up my letter for the AJ fan project. I think I'm happy with it. I sound like an idiot, but there you go.

Here it is, if you care:

AJ-

I never know how to start a letter, so I'll just get right to it. I'm glad to hear you finally got the scrapbook--I hope it all arrived in one piece.

Adam has been a riot lately, as usual. His scenes are some of the best no matter what, and it's not a stretch to say that, for me at least, Adam is usually the highlight of any episode he's in. The scene with Sid in "Child's Play" was fun, so I hope Adam gets sent to the morgue again sometime--he may not enjoy it down there, but I know I'd get a chuckle out of his discomfort.

I was glad to hear that you signed a contract with CSI: NY last year--NY without Adam would definitely be lacking. I hope we get to learn more about him in season 5. (If Kendall sticks around, she needs to stop teasing the poor man!) I'd love to see an episode that gives Adam a bit more focus (the hint about his father in "Some Buried Bones" was intriguing, so I'm personally rooting for more information on the Ross clan)--as much as I love Adam's nerdy personality and the humor he brings to the show, I think something a bit meatier would be a nice change.

Basically, any episode where Adam gets to kick ass, take names and save the day would earn an A+ in my book. Hehe. (What can I say? He's my favorite.)

I caught "Ghostfacers"--it was so hilarious, but poor Corbett! I had to go back and check out "Hell House" for background, and I really enjoyed both episodes. In fact, those two piqued my interest, and I've been catching up on the whole series. I can't help but hope some curious Supernatural fans have decided to check out CSI: NY thanks to Ed and, perhaps, his rugged beard (oh, Corbett).

I'm crossing my fingers that Ed and Harry will make another appearance in the future. "Hell House" was fun, but "Ghostfacers" was awesome. The entire beginning of the episode had me laughing. If a Ghostfacers spin-off were feasible, I'd definitely tune in. Ghost Hunters is fun and all, but Ghostfacers is where it's at.

Good luck with everything, and keep up the great work--if all goes according to plan, I think Adam (and The Beard) will achieve world domination in record time.

-[My name here], aka 'Faylinn'

My computer is totally fucking up. I have no idea why, but it is. First the videos screw up, then Firefox starts having to close (which I never had problems with before), then it's Trillian having problems and going to blue screens and Norton having to close from the system tray and having to restart my computer--and now Word is acting up? I was typing out my letter for the AJ fan project and it closed without saving the recover document, so I lost it all. Then I went back in and started again, but when I went to save it so I could keep clicking the disk as I went along--it screwed up again.

I'm really frustrated. I don't know what is wrong with it or how to try to fix it. I know I need to buy a new computer, but I didn't want to spend the money on a desktop yet. And if I do get a new computer, I'll probably have to wait two weeks before the damn Roadrunner people will come get the new computer set up for the internet once I actually get the computer itself. Plus I don't know which computer to get, and I'm just feeling frustrated and overwhelmed right now.

For now, I need to try to make it work. I have Norton (well, Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition), which I've recently updated and used to scan the computer--no viruses. But that, of course, is not the only problem. I don't have anything to protect against spyware and such (yes, I know, don't scold me--my sister didn't even have virus protection on this thing while she was in college). So, more-knowledgeable-than-I f-listers, what do you recommend I do? I'm planning to defragment the harddrive tonight, which will hopefully stop it from commenting that the harddrive is getting low (yes, thank you computer, the fact that you only have like 28 GB of harddrive space makes it easy to fill up). But I doubt that would change the other problems, right?

Halp. ;_;

Ok, I'm really annoyed with my computer now. It's been bugging me a lot lately, but now it's doing something new--when I start watching videos online (not just YouTube, but that's one of them), it'll play for a varying amount of time--then it just stops. It looks like it's gone back to the beginning of the video, but it won't even play over again from the beginning. I can refresh the page, but it just does the same thing. Sometimes I can watch a whole video, sometimes I get 10 seconds in before it stops.

WTF, man?? It does it on Firefox and IE.

*pulls hair out*

He was a minor character, and you never know if people will even notice a character like that, much less like 'em enough to comment on it.

I'll be over here in my corner, pretending that Ross went to Torchwood and brought his little UNIT cap with him. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. The character was fun (loved his scene with the Doctor in the Jeep), and Christian Cooke is a cutie. ;)

I feel kinda weird that he's 21 though--it's not often that I think a guy is cute that isn't, you know, like 10 years older than me. *lol*

Ooh, Ron Oliver updated his blog. I'm noticing the subtle Jack references so far this season. First the "it's volcano day" comment in 4.02, then in 4.05 they not only have the "are you my mummy" thing, but also the close-up of the Doctor's hand in the jar.

<s>Buttsex is imminent</s>. Jack will totally be back. :P

I also noticed the quick glimpse of Rose--and the comment that it had only been a few days since the beginning of the season. I r vairy curious.

I felt bad for the weepy boy dying at the end, but I had to laugh at him...pretty much the whole episode.

That dude in charge of UNIT and the chick kissing at the end? *giggles like a school girl*

I was waiting for Donna to fly the TARDIS since they showed her doing it at the beginning. Then I went through and deleted most of the rest of it (and keep in mind that 800 was only the unread messages). Now I'm down to a few pages of saved stuff (mainly a couple of PMs, some comments from communities that I might want to access at some point, and all of my anonymous spam comments--I like saving those random things for some reason, hehe) and only a few comments that haven't been replied to yet.

I always plan to reply to every comment, but then I can't think of something to say or don't have the time at that moment to reply, and then things just pile up. You'd be amazed how easy it is to amass 800 comments in your inbox, lemme tell ya. So it's not that I didn't want to say anything to you (especially on more recent comments), I just couldn't think of what to say and knew I probably wouldn't come up with anything. I still appreciate the comments, of course, particularly with the crap about my sister, so thanks for that stuff. :)

My mom and I went to Olive Garden with my sister a little while ago for lunch. Danny and Stella go into the guy's studio with CDC techs, and they take geiger counters with them--so I'm assuming that the woman had radiation poisoning or something? I did like that the team themselves didn't play into it, but I hate storylines like this. *sigh*

The scene between the killer and the guy from Texas is especially bothersome. There was something very intimate and real about parts of it, which is good, I guess--I just hate the context. We know this is a murderer, and he's about to kill this guy. The actors did a really good job, BUT IT'S FUCKING BOTHERING MEEEEE! >.<

It wasn't all bad, though. I did like seeing Will again--he's a cutie, and I liked the way he really wanted JJ to come out about their relationship to her colleagues. Her reluctance was frustrating but believable. And at the end when the others were like 'it's about time', I had to smile. Oh yes, JJ, you can't fool the profilers. :P

GAH STILL BUGGING ME!
