The World #2 spot is SAFE!

Rafa Nadal is victorious over Novak Djokovic. (in yahr fez, Novak!)

7-5 2-6 6-2 -- complete with a crazy-ass SEVEN deuces.

*phew*

It was soooooo much fun keeping up with the match over at the RF.com forums.

We all asked for a 3-hour match, we got it and then some. XD

Second FEDAL FINAL of the season!

Tennis world order is restored.

notice that in every fedal final, roger can speak the language of the locals. monte carlo = french. hamburg = german. tee-hee.

The BATTLE for World #2.

  • May. 17th, 2008 at 11:11 PM
I am monitoring the Nadal vs Djerkobitch match in the Hamburg SF.

Where, you might ask?

At the RogerFederer.com forums. I'm pathetic, I know.

So much is at stake for Rafa in this match.

He HAS to win this. Or else he'll go in to Garros as number 3 in the world and Djerkobitch will have a head larger than the Pacific Ocean.

Vamos Rafa!

and to think i actually LIKED that djerkobitch before.
First, a big HELLO to my new friend, [info]paradise_birdie. *waves* I hope you'll enjoy my posts. ^^

I'm finally here with the Moonlight recap. I am so late. But, I promised [info]askani that I'll get to it, so here it is. And of course, by now, most of you will have already known that Moonlight will NOT be coming back next season, which makes my recaps for the next handful of episodes (potentially) the last I will ever get to do for this awesome show. SIGH.

I think "Fated to Pretend" was a fantastic episode. I'd thought they would drag out Human!Mick for a couple of episodes, so I really wasn't expecting him to be turned back so soon. But I guess the episode title was a bit of a giveaway. ;-) I quite liked the introduction of Ben Talbot, Eric Winter is HOT! But I still don't get why they're still making the DAs do the work of the cops. Geez. They could've just written Ben Talbot as a detective, that would've worked too, right?

Okay, enough of that. On with the recap. Screencaps by yours truly. :)

Welcome back, Moonlight. Although we'd be saying goodbye again real soon... *sob* )

Now that all is said and done,
Rest your head little one.
Tomorrow is a brand new day
And you'll need all your strength
to chase your demons away.

Today is over and yesterday is spent
No more worries of how they went.
Your worries of before have fled
And now you can finally go to sleep
Go to bed, rest your head.

And while you sleep, I will watch
And I will guard.
As you dream, I will be waiting
Through the night and to the day
For your eyes to open again
So we can go out, run and play.

I just realised I must have missed out on yet another not nano meetup.

Shia in GQ Magazine (US), Molly the pony

  • May. 17th, 2008 at 5:49 PM
(I should be continuing on the Moonlight recap I was typing up on Notepad, but I got side-tracked...)

Check out my new layout, wheee! :D

GQ US did a feature story on my Shia, as well as a photoshoot. OMFG, the pictures look amazing. I'm gonna hafta go hunt down a copy when it comes out here. Read the whole interview here: The (hot-dog-vending, knife-fighting, break-dancing, Spielberg-wooing) Adventures of Young Shia LaBeouf

I like how Shia is always candid with talking about his childhood, he doesn't shy away from the fact that he came from a rough neighborhood and everything, and it's nice how he still hangs out with the same kids that he grew up with in Echo Park. *pets Shia* And on a totally shallow note, I find it so hot that he's into shooting now. LOL. There's also a really funny story (like, LMFAO funny) about how he used to poop in his pants when he was younger. Shia even calls his mother to get her to tell the interviewer about it. Bwahahahha. It's pretty gross, but very, very funny. :D

OMG, you guys! Indiana Jones is coming out next week! *squeee* But honestly, I don't think I would be this excited about it if Shia wasn't in it. :P I'd just be like, "Oh, Indy 4? Goody," rather than my "OMG! SHIA in a new movie!!!" reaction right now. Hahahah.

A couple of my friends are kinda amazed that I'm still obsessed about him. They're like, "You still like Shia?" and I'm like, "Duh. Of course!" Sometimes my obsessions/crushes last for mere months, LOL. I started crushing on Shia since Transformers, so it's been, wow, almost a year? How time passes. Sigh.

Also, I get weekly e-mails from snopes.com, the website where all sorts of urban legends and rumors get posted up. Hahaha. This week there was an article about Molly, a pony who was abandoned by her owners during Hurrican Katrina. Full story here: http://www.snopes.com/photos/animals/molly.asp

She was adopted by someone who was taking in abandoned animals, and one of the other animals, a pit-bull terrier, attacked and bit her legs. One of them was infected and Molly was in danger of being put to sleep. The owner went to a veterinary hospital, but there was very little they could do. However, one of the vets observed how Molly took care of her injured leg, while being careful enough not to overload her good leg and decided to do something unprecendented: amputate the infected limb below the knee and fit it with a prosthetic.

And Molly today is coping very well with the prosthetic leg. All together now, awwwwwwwww.

To anyone who gives a crap...

[info]askani has alerted me to this online petition going on to save Moonlight from cancellation. Not sure how much impact this will make in regards to changing CBS' mind, but it's worth a try anyway. I was willing to do it for Traveler, why not Moonlight? And Traveler's cancelation was sooo not deserved (Eff you, ABC. I'm still mad about that).

So is Moonlight. Sure, sometimes the writing is a little iffy (since when does ADAs investigate murders and make arrests? LOL), but the characters and their acting is good enough to make up for that. Who doesn't want to see more of Mick/Beth and Mick/Josef? :D

So, to any of the Moonlight fans on my f-list, please go here to sign the online petition if you want to: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/moonlightback/index.html.

Jate and Skate

  • May. 16th, 2008 at 6:08 PM

Damn it, damn it, damn it.
I've reailzed, now that I finally saw Sawyer in the prescence of Kate again, how much I actually adore them.
And, I dont think I like all of this Skateness interfereing with my Jateness, which is the ship I like better.
I hate having two pairings I adore that involve a similar person.
It sucks majory, because it is hard to root for both.
Stupid, stupid show, is ruining my TV experience (though in a way rather satifying way).
CRAP!
Oh Jate, oh skate,
Maybe I should just make my OTP into an OT3, then I'd have no worries.

Done TV ranting now. =]

To acquire knowledge, one must study; but to acquire wisdom, one must observe.
Marilyn vos Savant

I've spent the last few days paying attention. And I have learned a lot. And I am fairly sure, if I continue this line of thought, I could actually get somewhere past my ego and self doubts. I am in the middle of a thousand stories, and the worst bout of quiet drama. I also realize that if I don't move forward, I'll just keep going in circles. I understand, a little too well, this all sounds cryptic. But know this, what does not kill me makes me stronger. It also just pisses me off more. I'll be updating my PSO filter with links and stories later. I never realized I could actually do what I have done this week. Now, if I could only continue to succeed where I had failed before.

In the end, if you do exactly what you preach against, isn't that wrong? If you say one thing and yet do another, isn't that wrong? If I don't speak up and show you what you're doing, isn't that wrong?

Another one from Teentalk

I will let it speak for itself:
